Rev.  Cedrick Von Jackson

12114_10152244437784813_891911638_n (1)Rev. Johnson serves as Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Sardis, MS. Prior to being called to Mt. Zion, he served as Minister of Music/Associate Minister at his childhood church, Second Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS.  He is a Phi Kappa Phi honor graduate from the University of Mississippi, where he earned both a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and a M.A. degree in Educational Leadership.  He has 20 years’ experience as an educator and is now Director of Special Education in the Senatobia Municipal School District. He completed M.Div. studies at Memphis Theological Seminary in 2010, where he was a Summa Cum Laude graduate and Chalice Press Award recipient.

Cedrick has published work in The African American Pulpit.  His sermon, An Unscattering of the Sheep, appeared in the Spring 2007 edition of TAAP.  Jackson has also contributed work to the “Sermon Illustrations” section of The African American Lectionary website. He is the 2013 author of a collection of poetry, Following the Breadcrumb Path.
Cedrick is married to his college sweetheart, the former Eulanda Willis of Meridian, MS..  They live in Olive Branch, MS with their two children Jalise and Myles, and their dog, Nubia.
