Chloe's Circle: Why War Is Never a Good Idea

“Why War is Never a Good Idea” is a children’s book by Alice Walker. As we prepare for our next intensive, we draw inspiration from her poem and her words #ChloesCircle. The intensive will take place April 19-20, 2024.

Our wisdom partner for this intensive is Rev. Gail Song Bantum. As a second generation Korean-American, formed in the Korean immigrant and Black Pentecostal traditions, Rev. Gail seeks to cultivate advocacy, liberation, and belonging for the marginalized within the life of the church.

She is particularly passionate about empowering emerging leaders and is a highly sought after speaker, preacher, and consultant. She serves on the board of WomanPreach! Inc. and is the co-author of Choosing Us: Marriage and Mutual Flourishing in a World of Difference.

Rev. Gail will be in conversation all weekend with Dr. Valerie Bridgeman. This experience will also be led by several cohort leaders and our artist-in-residence, Jaha Zainabu.

We present this Chloe’s Circle experience in partnership with Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Meet us in Ohio! We’ve got work to do. Registration is $150.
